【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesdesignandconstructioncriteriaforasemi-flush,oiltightandwatertightboltedhingedmanholecoverassembly.1.2Themanholecoverassembliesdepictedonthisspecificationareforuseindecksorbulkheadsrequiringoiltightandwatertightcoversthatarenotrequiredtobecompletelyflush.Manholecoverassembliesshallbecompletewithcovers,mountingrings,gaskets,studs,washers,hingeassemblies,andnuts.1.3Handles,ifrequired,shallbeasspecifiedintheorderinginformation.1.4Valuesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.5Thisstandardisnotapplicabletocertainhazardouscargos.(See46CFR153.254and46CFR154.340.)1.6Thisspecificationprovidesdesignandconstructionformanholecoverassembliessubjectedtolateralpressuressuchasresultingfromvehicleloadsorhydrostaticpressures.Wheremanholecoverassembliesaresubjectedtoprimaryorcyclicloads,otherreinforcementorconstructioncriteriamaybenecessarytointegratethemanholeassemblywiththerequiredstructuralreinforcementforopeningsindecksorbulkheads.Designofthemanholecoverassemblyforprimaryorcyclicloadsisbeyondthescopeofthisspecification.
