【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesdimensionstoensureinterchangeabilitybetweenatractorvehicleandacoupledsemi-trailer,thetwotogetherconstitutinganarticulatedvehicle.Itspecifiescertaininterchangeabilitydimensions,includingthoseofthegooseneckcontour,aswellasoperatingdimensionsrelatedtoanglevalues.Thespecificationspermitthesamesemi-trailertobeusedwitheithertwo-orthree-axletractors.AnnexAgivesinterfacetechnicalspecificationsfortractorsdesignedfortowinghigh-cubesemi-trailers,includingISOcontainershavinganexternalheightof2,9m.ThisInternationalStandardcoversarticulatedvehiclesusedincommercialcargotransportofthegreatestpossiblevariety.However,itmaynotbeapplicabletospecialcombinationtypessuchaslow-bedortippervehicles.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotprovidelimitationsofmaximumgrossmassandoveralldimensions,whicharegenerallylaiddownbylegislativerequirements.
