【摘要】:Thistestmethodspecifiesaprocedureforthedeterminationofthekinematicviscosity,,ofliquidpetroleumproducts,bothtransparentandopaque,bymeasuringthetimeforavolumeofliquidtoflowundergravitythroughacalibratedglasscapillaryviscometer.Thedynamicviscosity,,canbeobtainedbymultiplyingthekinematicviscosity,,bythedensity,,oftheliquid.Note1Forthemeasurementofthekinematicviscosityandviscosityofbitumens,seealsoTestMethodsD2170andD2171.Note2ISO3104correspondstoTestMethodD445.Theresultobtainedfromthistestmethodisdependentuponthebehaviorofthesampleandisintendedforapplicationtoliquidsforwhichprimarilytheshearstressandshearratesareproportional(Newtonianflowbehavior).If,however,theviscosityvariessignificantlywiththerateofshear,differentresultsmaybeobtainedfromviscometersofdifferentcapillarydiameters.Theprocedureandprecisionvaluesforresidualfueloils,whichundersomeconditionsexhibitnon-Newtonianbehavior,havebeenincluded.Therangeofkinematicviscositiescoveredbythistestmethodisfrom0.2to300000mm/s(seeTableA1.1)atalltemperatures(seeand).Theprecisionhasonlybeendeterminedforthosematerials,kinematicviscosityrangesandtemperaturesasshowninthefootnotestotheprecisionsection.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
